I am getting my act together and posting tomorrow’s Essene Communion in time for you to review them and maybe adopt some of them during the day. It would be interesting if we could get some people to sign up and try living their days like as set out by the Essenes, and then report back after a full week to let us know if they felt any differently for having done them.
If anyone can think of a way we could get this out to folks that you think might find it beneficial I’d love to hear from you.
This is the structure set out for Thursdays and as before my comments in red brackets.
Given that the day begins at sundown, then I am wondering if the “Deepening” practise is one that we do the evening of the day before, this case on Wednesday. Anyone got further information on this?
ESSENE COMMUNION FOR THURSDAY
THE DEEPENING: Hold a bowl of water as you commune with the Angel this day. When finished drink the water in deep reverence and feel it, like a rushing current of a river, fill your body and soul.
MORNING COMMUNION: Angel of WATER I invoke thee; whether lake or stream or water of the well, enter my body and become my blood. Give unto me the gift that sustains all life. Your blessings hath cleansed my spirit and quenched the thirst of my soul and as each morning comes, I shall embrace thee.
MEDITATION: As the wave of natures glory reaches its crest and then flows on, I have gained perspective. The waters that rage in the rivers and the rains that fall from the sky are the same as the blood that flows in the veins of my body. The Earth and I are one.
NOON CONTEMPLATION: Peace with the MIND.
Evil thoughts cannot abide in a mind filled with the Light of the Law. He who hath found Peace with the Mind, hath learned to soar beyond the realm of the Angels; For I tell you truly, the lightning that cleaves the mighty oak, or the quaking that opens great cracks in the earth are as the play of children compared with the powers of thought.
[This contemplation about the mind and thoughts is very much a part of my current process of being aware of things that cross my mind and trying to immediately cast out negative thoughts. I’ve had to turn off the television because I found my mind was filling with bitterness and anger just from watching the news and politics of the USA. All these things we must be aware of because even if we aren’t consciously aware, if it is playing in the background the vibrational energy is still filtering through our bodies. We never fully know what has decided to take up residence. I am of the opinion that all of “man’s woes” start and worsen with the thoughts; that before any illness (physical, mental or emotional) strikes the body, it first filters through the mind as a thought. I’ve written on this in several posts. Thoughts-Mind This is one post; there are several.]
EVENING COMMUNION: Angel of WISDOM I invoke thee; for only through the wisdom of the holy law doth the Angels guide the children of light. Descend upon my thinking body and enlighten my thoughts, my mind, my intentions and my deeds. To follow the holy law is the root of your blessings, and as each evening comes, I shall embrace thee.
THE BLESSING: When at first a fledgling bird tries to fly, his wings cannot support him, and he falls again and again to the earth. But he tries again and one day he soars aloft, leaving the earth and his nest far behind. And so is it with the thoughts and intentions of the Sons of Men. The longer one walks with the angels and keeps their Law, the stronger ones thoughts shall become in Holy Wisdom. The day will come when the thoughts of men will overcome even the kingdom of death and then shall he soar to everlasting life in the kingdoms of the Heavenly Father.
[This resonates with me: “The day will come when the thoughts of men will overcome even the kingdom of death and then shall he soar to everlasting life in the kingdoms of the Heavenly Father.” In the matter of thoughts I can’t help but think of psychic abilities like mind reading, psychokinesis, levitation of objects, etc. These are all things that occur with the energies of thought and it is my believe that ever human as these “dormant” abilities. I am not saying that the Lord will activate these in everybody, but they are there and will become available for those whose journey will require the tools.]
Water and the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit)
So, in my reading the above and the reference to water flowing through our bodies, which are 70% water content anyway, I could not help but think about when Yeshua was pierced in the side with the sword on the cross and “water flowed out”. Water is also symbolic of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit). These are things that require more thought on my part and tying them into daily life.
It sort of makes sense if I equate the water with the Holy Spirit and the washing away of the day’s gathered dust and negative energies. Water is also a conductor of electricity and whenever I have administer a Reiki treatment I wash my hands immediately before, for purification, and immediately afterwards. I also ensure that the client drinks lots of water before a session and have a glass of water beside the massage table for them, and insist they drink water afterwards. As soon as the session is complete I leave the room and go and wash my hands and drink water.
In closing, the washing of the mind and heart with the water (Spirit) of the Word, the word that gives life not death is such a wonderful way to end a day before you head off to sleep. It is healthier than watching the news, and will give you peace in your sleep. I always pray that my Guardians watch over me and guard my conscious and subconscious thoughts in sleep, that only those of the Father find a place in my mind and remembrance.
