Mother Earth & the 10 Commandments

Early this Sabbath morning, once again having issues after mediation – unable to access the internet, I sensed the hand of the Father pushing me into my reading chair to relax and absorb in His Presence, or so I thought.

The first book my eye caught was the Gospel of the Essenes; a worn out paperback sitting amidst the other books on things spiritual, religious, etc.  I randomly opened it at a page about the 10 Commandments.  Quite surprised with what I found.  Commandments included the Earthly Mother; something not taught or included in mainstream religions.

So, now I’ve discovered some rifts in the teachings and what religions do or don’t do.  The first is that 99% don’t keep the Sabbath and now this one about the teachings on Mother. I also found it of interest that these teachings immediately speak of Children of Light.

After reading, it didn’t surprise me they left out about Earthly Mother because she is assigned to the morning of the Sabbath.  My old Messianic fellowship, headed up by a Rabbi who accepted Yeshua was the Messiah, continues to hold that women do not teach and there is that male-female division continued on from his Orthodox Jewish upbringing.

10 Commandments

Please bear with me here, because I feel it necessary to quote verbatim some of the things I am about to write.  I will identify these in “quotes” and indent them from the margins.  Anything in bold font is my emphasis for a purpose and I may interject my comments in red [] brackets.

“And Mount Sinai was altogether in smoke because the Lord descended upon it in fire:  and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.  And the Lord came down … called Moses up to the top of the mount: … called to Moses out of the mountain, saying, ‘Come unto me, for I would give thee the Law for thy people, which shall be a covenant for the Children of Light. …”
[No where in any of the circulating versions of the bible have I ever read anything of YHWH referencing them as the Children of Light; ever!  And yet, it makes so much sense when we hear Yeshua telling the people he is the Light!]

  • “And Moses went up … God spake all these words, saying, “I am the Law, thy God, which hath brought thee out from the depths of the bondage of darkness.
  • Thou shalt have no other Laws before me.

[My recollection is that our bible versions say we aren’t to have any other gods before him. As this continues where I’ve always read it says god, in this book it says Law.]

Mother Earth - EditedThe list of instructions continues, in every situation referring to the Law, to keep “my Law”, not to violate (break) it, and the last command before next going on to Earthly Mother reads:

“Thou shalt not violate the Law.  The Law is thy God, who shall not hold thee guiltless.”

It continues with the next command being:

“Honor thy Earthly Mother, that the days may be long upon the land, and honor thy Heavenly Father, that eternal life be thine in the heavens, for the earth and the heavens are given unto thee by the Law, which is thy God.”

It follows with commands regarding Mother Earth.

Commands re Earthly Mother & Her Angels

  • “Thou shalt greet thy Earthly Mother on the morning of the Sabbath.
  • Thou shalt greet the Angel of the Earth on the second morning. [Sunday]
  • Thou shalt greet the Angel of Life on the third morning.
  • Thou shalt greet the Angel of Joy on the fourth morning.
  • Thou shalt greet the Angel of Sun on the fifth morning.
  • Thou shalt greet the Angel of Water on the sixth morning.
  • Thou shalt greet the Angel of Air on the seventh morning.

All these Angels of the Earthly Mother shalt thou greet, and consecrate thyself to them, that thou mayest enter the Infinite Garden where stands the Tree of Life.”

From here it goes in along the same lines with respect to the Heavenly Father and his Angels who are the angels of Eternal Life, Work, Peace, Power, Love and Wisdom respectively.  Communication is with the Father on the Sabbath and then it continues with the Angel of Eternal Life on the second day, and so on.

Equal Opportunity Parents

We have an equal distribution of time, respect and worship outline by the Law to be spent with Mother and Father.  We are spending time with Mother and her Angels in the first part of the day, upon rising and then before sleeping it is commune with the Father

and his Angels.

It’s my opinion that a very important part of the human’s “operating instructions manual” has been omitted, either deliberately or in error.  There is no way I can live this life balanced when one-half of me is working incorrectly.

On a funny note, don’t you think that it is truly amazing that in the family unit, children always run to their mothers when they want something; that the mother really has a greater percentage of time and involvement (dare say 80/20% ratio Mom/Dad), and in Spiritual matters it is a complete reverse 20/80% in favour of Father?  Upside down, inside out.  Definitely need some rebalancing done.

The imbalance I see here reminds me of the imbalance that I found in the teachings of just about every mainstream religious organization.  After leaving the Catholics, getting baptized etc. and sauntering through various denominations, until I arrived at the Messianics, I found two key areas that were incorrect in the practices:

  • none of my Pentecostal, Baptist, or others (except 7th Day Adventists) kept the Sabbath, and
  • in all of those denominations, very, very little was taught from the Old Testament (Torah/Tanakh).  The prime theory of the teachings appeared to be that Yeshua did away with “the Law” and why rehash what is irrelevant!  How wrong they were, because they were putting the roof on a house before the foundation had been laid.  The OT points to the NT and the NT comes out of the OT.  You can’t understand nor have one without the other.

I am grateful that these things are coming to the forefront, at least for me.  I am a firm believer that we have things brought to us when we are ready to see, and not before.

So, Shabbat Shalom to all my brothers and sisters in this Universe.  Be blessed and a blessing.

  1. I kind of like the Law thy God (Elohim) instead of the Lord (Master) thy God. It makes perfect sense. The Law and the Spirit are One. If you come into the Spirit, the Law is as natural as breathing.
As far as references to Earthly Mother go on Sabbath that makes perfect sense too, as it is a day of rest and re-creation.
