Being Who You Are

Many people spend too much of their life journey looking at the things they did before that were effective; trying to pound a square peg into a round hole.

I am one of those people. I was very successful in my abilities as a law clerk/paralegal.  In fact I was quite arrogant about how great I was at what I did!

On and off for the last few years I have tried to resort to those abilities in efforts to find work!  Not a door opened.

I continued these efforts even though I knew that I had been called out of ‘Egypt ‘ (that season of my life); I kept looking back at the good old days under ‘Pharaoh’ (the worldly way).

I am one of those people who seems to have to come to self realization the most challenging way!

This morning a word from Bishop TD Jakes nailed that truth right between my eyes and I saw and knew the Lord was speaking to me.

*******”I cannot be who I was AND who I AM at the same time.”******
